Man Arrested for Assault on Congresswoman
A Sarasota man is in jail, accused of trying to run over U.S. Representative Katherine Harris.
Harris says a silver Cadillac sped towards her while she was campaigning at an intersection, then swerved away at the last minute.
Witnesses gave police the tag number they used to track down 46-year-old Barry Seltzer.
Officers say Seltzer admitted trying to intimidate Harris with his car, saying he was exercising his "political expression."
He is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
