I went up on my annual small game/turkey trip into the mountains.One of my bestI got a turkey about an hour before my trip was over. 2 Grouse.3 Squirrel.We ate one of the grouse on the trip. Yummmmmmm!!

It's a little early for results in my area....deer are still in the unpicked corn and the rut hasn't started yet. Things should be hopping in the next 30-60 days....can't wait!

Boy the rut is getting fired up around here. Lots of deer moving. I saw a real monster the other night chasing a doe. He passed just outside of bow range. Hope I see him again!
