This is interesting. What do you think-- is this worth the effort? Or is it a cheap aftermarket gimmick? http://www.redstarmuseum.com

    Since CA has banned the entire AR series, I would be more than a little leary of it. It is an attempt to comply with the current 'generic' assault rifle ban but it can't get around the earlier Roberti-Roose ban of 1991. (Just my opinion, get a lawyer to give you legal advice, then get a better one to defend you in court).

    This would appear to be outside the defnition of the prohibited "AR-15 or minor variations thereof," as the magazine is completely internal. Chances are, if they are selling it and they claim publicly that it's legal, it is. I was wondering about quality considerations or other problems.

    It's loaded with stripper clips. You have to open the rifle first though...can you give me the name/email/phone of this gunsmith Saxonpig?
