New or Used Colt 1991?

I am wanting to purchase a colt 1991 handgun. I would like advice on either either purchasing a new one or a used one. Other than price what are my advantages/disadvantages and advice on whether they are worth it. Also around what price does a good used colt go for. I know there are no precise answers and I just have to make a choice, but I would like some more input. Thankyou.

Kevin,I would say that since Colt's least expensive gun is the 1991A1 and there are so many of them available new, a used one will problably not be very much cheaper than a new one; I would just buy new. They usually go for about $500 new, which isn't bad for a real Colt. My favorite pistol is the 1911A1 and whenever possible, I go for the genuine Colt. Just my opinion, hope it helps.
