Hobby Guy I dont see where you come off saying that Im being childish by putting whats on the net on here.I have raced MANY harely's on my Kawasaki and put their sh@t to shame and mines not a completely built drag bike.I do have a friend that travels and races and has a full blown dragged out Hayabusa if your looking to lose your bike.Harleys are ok to a point of cruising and sounding loud but when it comes to real racing they are in the dust.Just a fact even though I know you think you have the lightning bolt of harleys but man your bike will get shamed by a built jap bike.

I think the whole argument is silly. It's apples and oranges and it's hardly worth arguing about. Each company makes a bike to suit a different target market. Why argue about which market you're in. The only ones that "need to compensate for something that's laking" are those that refuse to live and let live. I ride a Harley. My brother rides a Yamaha Star and I encouraged him to get that motorcycle. He loves it. I'd never push one brand over another in a superiority contest. It's absolutely silly.

Who cares if you can go faster? I'm not in it for kicks.

Well said, but...I work with a woman who rides a Harley and she will hatefully hold it against you for riding anything else.

For those who think that Harley's are the top of the motorcycle world, please explain to me how Harley makes more money in apparel sales than they do in bike sales?

Because everyone that owns a Harley, has to have 15 shirts, 5 bandanas, 5 jackets, and 3 pairs of boots from the Harley shop.
Half of the lives they tell about me aren't true.

That is were most companies make their money. I sold snowmobiles, ATV and boats/jetskis once and we made more on the coat and helmet than we did on the sled. It is all about add ons and service. If you don't do that you cant stay in business

    That you bought into

I was in the market for a motorcycle, not the "lifestyle" that HD tries to sell. You can't buy into that lifestyle
    Just another brainwashed poster

Because there's a whole lotta no-ride posers who'd like everyone to believe they ride a Harley.
