demilled?

if they are selling a gun thats been demilled to meet batf standards, whats demilled?

    Look carefully. I've seen the term used to describe a gun parts kit, minus a working receiver. Sometimes, demilling means they cut the receiver into 2 or 3 pieces so it's not a complete, firing weapon anymore. When in doubt, ask what you're getting before buying mail order.

    Yep, Some folks have been using this phrase in the wrong text. Demilled basicaly means it has been destroyed. Or at least damaged to the point it would be worthless for military use. Where I work at we have to take guns that have been confiscated (in volved in a crime) down to the maintance shop, and have them cut into four seperate parts. They do the same thing to the old jeeps so they can not be driven again.Trinity+++
