Pulled the trigger on a perfect shooter SAA. Was hoping for the 4.75" version but this will work fine for banging at the range. One of the many various commemorative editions it's been turned into a shooter and the buy it now price was $200 under my self imposed limit. Also, it's C&R qualified so if I sell it later that's a plus in appealing to a wider audience of potential buyers.
I know you are all as happy as I am about this...

Doc, I have always liked you, you are a good guy. If you will give me this pistol, I will pay the shipping. Just email me for my mailing address.
Thanks.
What's up with the chambers......will that clean up ok? Looks like surface rust....or is it just the photography?
E-mail me your mailing address and I'll send you some nice cast bullets to shoot out of it.
But nice score, finally [;)][:D]

Well, it is the Missouri commemorative...
Exactly! Seems appropriate to me...Doc Holliday
I looked up the Missouri Sesquicentennial Colt to see what this thing originally looked like. The stocks are the ones that came on it (and I agree thy are handsome so I won't swap them). It was made with the cylinder, ejector rod housing and hammer in gold. I really hate gold on handguns. Way too pimp for me. I think it looks much better with the gold gone. The only remnant of it's special edition past is the sesquicentennial barrel stamp and the special serial.
They made a 22 mate and one is up for auction right now. Not for me, though.
Looking forward to shooting this gun. I'm really getting into the SAAs. Handled a 7.5" SAA yesterday and liked it. Didn't feel too long at all. But I think 3 is enough. They are a little pricey for me.
