AR15 by DPMS

Just wondering if anyone can tell me anything about the ar15's made by DPMS I have a limited budget and would like an ar to plink with. I saw the Lo-Pro Classic and the Panther Lite 16. both of these retail for about $699. Does anyone own one of theese? do you like it? Let me know, also if there are any other ar15 clones in the price range that are a good buy i would like to know about them.One last thing...before anyone gives me a lecture on buying a cheap gun save it, a cheap gun is better than no gun.Thanks Again.

    Speedfreak, A cheap gun ain't better if for a few hundred more you could have had a reliable accuarate rifle instead of a $699 plastic club.

    I have 1 bushmaster 1 dpms and 1 colt nothing wrong with any of them all pre banthe only reason I have the colt is I took it on trade new in the box and got it at a good price and new I could turn it over at a goodprice the busmaster & dpms are every bit as good all your paying for is the colt name

    The Bushmaster is 100% mil-spec.The DPMS is not.It has been my personal experience that DPMS's make fine target and range rifles, but suck in the field. What are you going to be using it for? Is it going to sit on a benchrest and plink at paper? Then buy the DPMS.Are you going to defend the free world? Buy the Bushmaster.

    EVIL ATF My good friend works for dpms just about all there work is for the goverment thats how they make there mony, better check your spec's over again.
