Sometime in the past two years there was a big hunt in Wisconsin or one of the nearby states, to get the chronic wasting disease under control. Does anyone know how successful they were?

My brother in law may be transferred to Wisconsin, That means I will have a place to stay if I wanted to hunt or fish there.

Just wondering.

Last I had heard the number of deer harvested was below the number that they had projected to take.

What part of wisconsin will your brother-in-law be transfered to?

talked to a warden last friday at hunter safety class, he said that they had not found any more cases of infected deer outside of the containment zone, if you go the the link greenlantern gave you , there is a map of that zone ,, they are still finding infected deer inside of that area ,,, so stay out of the infected area and you should be ok,,,,,,, hopefully [:I]

He's been given two options. The Green Bay area and the Dayton, OH area. My sister want's Dayton because it will be closer to our family. So, WI may not even happen. Personally I'll be glad to see my kid sister out of the Detroit area!

If he get's to the GB area you should be pretty safe as most, if not all that I've heard about, are down in roughly the Madison area in lower WI.

THE ONLY THING TO WORRY ABOUT IN GREEN BAY IS RABID PACKER FANS, BUT THEY USUALY DON'T BITE. CWD IS A LOT OF CRAP ANY WAY, IT'S BEEN IN COLORADO FOR 25 YEARS WITH '0' PROBLEMS (EXCEPT FOR THE DEER AND ELK).
