I was reading around online about Dragunov rifles. I like the way these guns look and they have a very good reputation for being acurate from what i've heard. Does anyone have one/shot one and have good or bad stories? Also I was wondering if someone might know their web site because I've looked all over google and have been unablwe to find it. Thanks.

AS I understand it, true Drags from our standpoint are the SVD's, Tigers and such that were imported before the ATF became intimidated by them some years back. I have a Romak PSL that I am not much impressed with and would reccomend a Fulton Armory M1A, for which 20 and 30 round mags are made (vs 10 round).

I've wanted one for the longest time. I had an opportunity to pickup a chinese one once, but I want the real deal soviet. From what I understand there aren't very many true dragunovs imported in the US other than the Tigers. What I've read on them is that they are really accurate with the specific ammunition they were designed to shoot.

After seeing the bad guy on "Sniper" use one I thought it was very cool compared to the "deer" rifle Tom Berenger used. I also, recall there was a bounty on Drags during Viet Nam. If "ARMORY USA" out of Texas ever made Drags I think it'll be kick *.

s.o.g. has them (hungarian svd's), I bought one over a year ago and have tried several types of ammo. It will never be a true "sniper" rifle but it makes a good 'squad marksman' rifle. most ammo groups into 3" a 100 yrd., handloads go 2". I have shot one (1) <1" group with it. I have some Lapua match ammo I want to try.
