is it cold when your hand freezes to the door knob?

i forgot to plug in the jeep last night, so i ran out to do it this morning, and i got some snow on my hand, so when i grabbed the door knob to come back into the house my hand froze to it, feels funny when that happens, it doesn't hurt, just feels like you have supperglue on your hand, kinda sticky. wakes you up a little,(like you are not awake when you walk outside and the cold takes you breath away!) just so you know i have -18 below right now, i don't know what the low was for the night, but i know it was cold!!!!!

What state are you from? It's nice and sunny here in Iowa. I've been looking hard but don't see any snow on the ground anywhere.

The worst is when I was a kid and I or one of my friends licked a piece of metal playground equipment in below zero weather. I don't know why, but lots of kids do that just because they heard about it. We used to laugh at the ones who panicked and tried to pull off immediately.

I remember those Minnesota winters. Iowa is getting it real easy this year. I grew up in Minneapolis about 2 blocks from the Mississippi where I would spend hours after school hiking with the family's black lab "PEPPER". I love Minnesota. If they could get there politics straight I'd probably seek employment there and settle down when I'm done with the Army. However, not while the Chiefs of Police in Minneapolis and St. Paul are still running rampant with radio scare tactics while CCW bills come up for passage.
