The high grade of chrome-moly steel.
Barrels actually hardens further to a Rockwell of 37 to 38, which gives you the hardest and highest quality steel barrel possible. All other stainless steel barrels finish at a 25 to 30 on the Rockwell scale, and do not "work harden" with use as do the chrome-moly barrels Barrels.
The high-grade chrome-moly barrel gives you a longer barrel life, and less throat erosion than stainless steel because of the hardness of the steel.

Chrome-moly needs a good break in

Steel is for guns Tupperware is for leftovers

For accuracy, go with stainless...they are not even close.

22WRF: if this is true, why is it that Winchester had to go to stainless barrels in their 220 swifts to cut down on barrel erosion after they introduced it?
