    All of that "alternative" stuff is just crap. If it worked, the big pharmaceutical companies would be ALL OVER IT!

    Ever notice there is a new "wonder alternative" drug every few years? Always something new, always cures the ailment of the day.

    I know a few people that take Saw Palmetto for BPH. One is here, but I refrain from mentioning the name of said member.[:0]

    If that is what your issue is,....it can't hurt to give it a try.
    Some folks swear by it.

    I tried it once when I had what turned out to be prostatitis.

    ALL of it is not a pile of crap,.....most, yes.
    Ask yourself why Merck has a patent for a statin that contains CoQ-10?

    Means that the pharma companies are aware that statins deplete CoQ-10 which happens to be a little bit important if you wish for your heart to function.

    Fish oil, and Omega-3 is not a fantasy either.
    If you eat PERFECTLY, granted you should not need supplements. Most people don't.

    If you have certain conditions and take the wrong herbal combo, it can kill you.

    Pretty sure that saw palmetto can cause a small increase in BP.
    If you have hypertension you will want to discuss this with your physician before taking it.

    I saw my urologist earlier this week and asked him about using one of those so called prostate helping pills. He stated that some of them can kill you if used improperly. He prescribed something called Rapidflo or something to that effect. And those enhancement pills by the way aren't cheap either.

    Friend is/was on Flomax; costs $32 per pill.
    He tried a source in Canadia that has same ingredients for $.50.
    Much better now.
