TC Compass vs Venture - Opinions Needed

With the sales/rebates going on, I have decided to give TC a try in .308 without breaking the bank. There seems to be a ton of good reviews out there on the Compass, but I can't find much in the way of comparisons between the Compass and the Venture. Better stock/finish on the Venture, different mags, threaded barrel on the Compass - those are about all I can tell as differences.

In any case, it's going to be one of the two. The price difference is only about $40 between them. Is the Venture worth the extra bills, or is the Compass the better bet?

I've always told folks to shoot the best they could afford. That said, since hunting season is about finished, I'd advise anyone looking for a nice rifle to make the rounds of LGS and pawn shops. You might find a really good deal on a keeper. Or, just check out a place called GunBroker (I think it is called that). [:D]

Not a matter of financial constraints. I am just a sucker for cheap guns....and an even bigger sucker for a good deal. So I am going to give one or other of them a try. [:D]
