I haven't ever seen this before. I know the cleaning kits are somewhat hard to find in decent shape....but this has everything....the metal case, the paperwork, original scope, cleaning kit.

I have three of those that I inherited from my dad, he bought one for each one of us boys, my two brothers were too good for them. didn't know they were rare.[:D]

We had one when growing up. For me it was very accurate. We lost it when someone broke into my Dad's house and stole it and some others.

I miss that rifle.

I have had the rifle a few times....and I've got a cleaning kit up in the gun room that has been heavily used, but it has the metal box. I didn't even know the metal rifle box existed and I've never seen the paperwork. This thing must have been under someone's bed and completely forgotten about. The little ring of rust on the barrel at the end of the forearm is the only thing I cleaned on....and I only spent 5 minutes getting that off as much as I could.

I remember a J.C. Higgins rifle that looked a lot like that, only it had sling on a spring-loaded spool inside the butt.

I bought one of those at the last show here. Had one as a kid, the tuckaway sling was Majorly Cool, like a Secret Agent kinda thing.
It didn't come with anything though. I might have to thin down the .22s; I'm up to almost as many as when I was 30!
And that's a beautiful set, Kasey; wish I had somewhere to put it!
I hope it does well!
