Fork over vast quantities of cash, get permission from your local sheriff, fork over more cash, get permission from feds, fork over more cash, wait. Wait some more.

Easiest way is to find a local Class 3 dealer. If he doesn't have what you want he can help you with the transfer and paperwork.

The least expensive 9mm options are going to be a STEN, one of the MAC M10s (though far more common in .45) or perhaps an MK Arms 760, which is essentially a copy of the old S&W M76. If you are thinking about Uzis and MP-5s then you had better make sure that your wallet can stand the strain. When searching MG listings you want to read the word transferable, which means that anyone legally able to purchase the gun can obtain it. If you see the words pre, post, restricted, LEO or letter anywhere in the listing then that gun is out of reach.

    Good hunting.

First, see if you live in a state where STATE LAW does not prohibit ownership of a full auto. If you do, look up phone number for U-Haul.

Second, find a Machine Gun Dealer in your state. They can not only help you pick out a gun, but walk you thru the process of applying to the ATF. Yes, includes photos/ fingerprints approval of your local chief LEO, and paying a $200 transfer tax. Yes, you may want to set up a legal trust, and title the gun in the trust.

Third- check your checking account balance. Only the full autos already registered by May 1986 CAN be transferred to a private citizen. This has made the cost of a LEGAL full auto go thru the roof. STENs and Ingrams are not too bad- An M16 is about $25,000. Due to the law there is a finite supply of them that will only get smaller as they get lost, stolen or broken.

Last, go get a progressive loading press. You ever tried FEEDING a full auto? If a gun shoots 900 rounds per minute- at @12 a box, that is $216 a minute- plus tax.

You may also need to see a plastic surgeon to see if he can get the smile off yer face. It IS fun!

I always wondered about those Navy polymer SEF "grips" the Guide for Sportsmen's used to sell for $69; would they work, or would they work after certain parts got replaced? They were Factory HK, and I know about the building of guns by untrustworthy civilians beng frowned upon & stuff.

Edited to add that there's a Calico 9 carbine on the auction side....not sure if it's select fire, but.....
