walmart and ammo

picked up some 9mm today,
clerk told me that as of January 1st, all walmarts will no longer stock ammunition.

Any confirmation on this? If so, walmart has just pissed away my last excuse to even walk into their stores [:D]

    Behold in my area they no longer have limits on ammo except for 22's and me the wife cleaned out the mp5 and ak ammo

    They have starting limiting everyone to 3 boxes in my area have they done this anywhere else?

    They just remodeled the guns and ammo part of the store here in Boise, they made it bigger.

    Can't buy any ammo from Alabama Wal Marts........ the Bama proud heard that Russia invaded Georgia and they are making sure they are ready if they invade Alabama......

    couldnt possibly care less. my local walmart hasnt sold guns or ammo for as far back as i can remember so nothing iwll change for me.

    There are 4 super WalMarts in my immediate area and only the one in my town still sells guns I think a coupe of the othesr carry a limited supply of ammo. I'll ask next time the good lookin chick is behind the counter

    Are there any chinese ammo manufacturers? I thought WalMart only carried Chinese merchandise.

    here in ct every walmart ive been in has sold ammo. however store manager told me last time i bought a rem 700 there that theres only 2 stores in the state that still sell firearms. said he plans to keep selling them

    I looked at my Local Wally world and they had ammo and it went up since my last visit. Federal 22 bulk pack 550 rds was like 13.48 plus tax the 4 pack of 12 guage used to be around 14 now runs from 20 to 24 bucks.[:(][:(][xx(][:(!][V]

    The closest Kmart is going to stop selling guns soon due to a lack of sales, but not a single Walmart in nM is going to stop selling anything. Even the new one in T or C.
