It's for those that have enough money to say "why not".

I read an article where Taurus was making one, I don't think they will go over to well, there's really no use for the gun that I can see.

North American Arms beat em to it, they have one of their mini revolvers in the 17, the Black Widow. been out for about a year now..

    Horsecakes!

I wanted (now have 1), to carry for defense.

It's lighter than a 1911, with the hammer shaved off, it doesn't snag on the draw, and it has very little recoil. It also has 8 shots of a very potent rimfire-seen the pics of what happened to the clay block?

One of you bullet-resistant Rambos wanna take 2-3 shots and tell me how ineffective it is? I've already tested its' penetration on a level II vest......you can see through it! As far as hitting power, it blew the neighbors' cat in half!

My 941 was 22mag, had a 3" barrel, and fairly accurate, but I felt something a little lighter would "print" less while carrying.

keep shootin the neighbors pets and your gonna need to defend yourself[}:)]

as for carry purposes I would take one over a 25, 22 or 22 mag, but w/ the mini barrel there can't really be any accuracy ... just a short range, small cal. fightin "weapon" (yep I used the 'W' word).

If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!

Neighbor has over 100 cats; didn't think she'd miss one, besides it was peein' on my Mag wheels!
It's accurate enough at the ranges I expect to use it, hits really hard, and won't pull off my jacket due to its' light weight.
The whole idea behind "concealment" is not to give any sign that one is carrying; something almost impossible to do with a 2+pound lump of metal digging into your hip.
This is the on-board firearm, the serious stuff's not too far away.
