    4-Wheeler, If possible I'll try to be there Friday AM. I'm in the cornfields now and don't know if I'll make it or not. What are you doing Labor Day? If you can show up in Franklin Co and we'll pop some doves!!! GHD

    GHD---My plans are to be at the VFW building at 8:00A.M. Friday.If you can make it,I will meet you at the flag pole,it is at the corner of the building.I wiil wait 30 minutes or so,if you cannot make it no problem,I know all about farming,some work cannot wait.

    Hey Rugster-- if you can make it you are invited also,more the merrier.

    I havent missed a year thank God,but I would like to get up with you and GHD but with the usual crowds how are we going to do it?Last year I had to pay a guy to park in his yard,they sure make the money just off parking.If we can get together Ill buy Dinner.I will be there all three days except monday.But I have to work Sat and Sun,but thats no problem I dont sign on until 8:00 PM I will have to leave about 3:00.But Im off friday.Whats the chances of finding a Garand? Last year I done good I was proud of myself I only bought 2 guns.It rained on the last day and a guy sold me a Ruger Bisley new in the box for $325.00.Hope we can all get together.

    The best way I believe is to meet at the flag pole which is at the northeast corner of VFW building.knifeusercollections,GHD,Rugster,is 8:00a.m. okay for a time,Friday.

    Ok for me,I wonder what parking is going to cost?I may not have enough to complete my Ruger collection if I can find a Ruger Police service six .357 mag.If they take all my money to park.

    How close to Hillsville would I be able to get a motel room
    at this late date. I plan on driving up late Thursday eve.

    rugster---I usually park on the street just down from the elementary school and the post office,usually costs $5.00,it is worth it, saves my legs.

    red dog,may be hard to get a room at this late date,Mt. Airy,N.C. may be your best chance.I would suggest trying the internet and look
    under Mount Airy,N.C.,Wytheville,Va.,Galax,Va. for motels in the area and give them a call.

    Red Dog, you can still get a room at Nations Inn at West Jefferson N.C. 336-246-2080. It's less than an hour away from Hillsville.

    4-Wheeler, knifeusercollections and Rugster and Reddog too, I was through there yesterday(Monday evening) and the tents and tables are already going up! From one end of town to the other!! I'll be there like I said if I'm not in the cornfields. The rain yesterday kept me out of the field yesterday and today and if it dries up I'll probably be chopping. If it rains Wed and Thurs, I'll be there 8:00am Friday! GHD
