iF YOU MISSED THE OTHER POST GO LOOK, I GAVE SOME BAD INFO!

The Nosler 5th edition says 36-40 grains MAX for the 115 bullet!

Politicians are like diapers, every so often you need to change them, for obvious reasons.

Saxonpig, I agree with you 100%. When I posted in the other thread I was on the phone while typing, thought I did a good job at passing along info, I was looking at two bullet weights looking to see if there was any major pressure changes between the 115 and 100 grain bullet and got sidetracked when i posted the first time, then when i saw his post statin ghe was 1/2 grain under max I realized my goof and promptly corrected it, then it hit me, I have a Nosler book and I took a quick peek and realized I had given Pa some bad info, makes me feel like **** knowing one mistake like that coulda taken his face off.

I apologize for the mistake and hope nothing bad came of it, I learned a long time ago that even a 1/2 grain boo boo can cause damage.

I have four loading manuals and three loading softwares. I cross reference everyone of them before I start testing loads. You would be surprised how many misprints and miscalulations there are. I also like to email the powder manufacturers with a load and ask them if they will calculate the pressures for me. They are pretty good about doing it, and the numbers are sometimes different than the books.

The powder manufactures are better sources than the bullet manufactures.

I have two books and neither one lists a load for that bullet.
No problem, I only loaded 5. Good excuse to buy a bullet puller!!![:D]

Hey Tim, good thing you didn't fire off one of those overloaded rounds, it might have messed up the rifle or worst you.

I wouldn't have shot them till I was sure!
49 grains is max for the 270,
Actually 4064 isn't the best powder for the 25/06 anyways but it was what I have so I thought Id give it a try. Ill reduce to around 38 grains and see how they group!

pa, Did you get the email with the loads listed? Some are in the manuals(or thereabouts) and some are not! But I will tell you that they will work flawlessly in your 25-06!!! None overpressure and none worked up without a lot of thought and testing! Just the facts and figures! GHD...see ya'll in church!!!
