Tasco Warranty-Still good?

Just heard that Tasco is going out of business. I have several Tasco scopes with lifetime warranties. Am I SOL on the lifetime warranty, or will they somehow still honor it?

    To Our Valued Customers:

    Effective May 28, 2002, Tasco has filed an Assignment for the Benefit of Creditors in the Florida
    State Court in Broward County. Accordingly, Tasco will be following a liquidation plan that will
    include the sale of all assets including inventory, furniture and fixtures, equipment, trade names and
    intellectual property.

    It should be noted that several parties have expressed an interest in purchasing the intellectual property
    of the company that would include the trade names of Tasco. At the present time we are optimistic
    that a sale of the intellectual property will occur in the near future which will allow Tasco products to

    On June 10, 2002 I returned a Tasco scope for warranty repair and just received that package back with a sticker that says "RETURN TO SENDER-REFUSED". Guess we will have to wait and see for now.

    On May7,2002, I sent a Tasco scope and a $10.00 check for a
    warranty repair. They have not cashed the check yet and have not
    responded to my emails. ??????????????

    Save your money for a little while longer and buy Nikon, Leupold, Burris or the top of the line that you prefer!! It's taken me years to learn this but I'm hoping ya'll can learn from my teaching. GHD (graduate of the school of hard knocks)
