This is a 22-250. Varmit Rem.

DADDO, I am having good groups with IMR 4831 37 gr with a 52 gr sierra hpbt and also hogdon 380 38 gr with a 55 gr blitz king. I am also getting good groups with nosler balistic tips with similar loads. I am still playing with it though because this is a new setup for me.The abouve is being shot out of a savage, bolt action with a very heavy 26" barrel and the groups are under half inch at 100 yards.
    Good luck

I'm shooting 33gr of IMR 4895 under a .52gr HP. I'm very happy with that. The Prairrie Dogs come out of the hole in 3 pieces.

I have never had luck with the IMR 4350 in my 22-250. I do have great results with Hodgedon Varget and H380.

Try 31 gr of 3031, a CCI BR-2 primer and your v-Maxs. It is not going to be the fastest load you will try but it was accurate in a Remington 700 Varmint that I used to have. While you're out of work try to pick up some WW760. Try 40 gr and BR-2 or Fed Match primers and those bullets. My reloading notebook has entry after entry for this load using 52 gr Match bullets. Mostly Speer Gold Match but since they don't make them anymore try the 55 V-Max. Let me know if it works for you. In 26 years I haven't run into a 22-250 that wouldn't shoot it. Also unless you're going to skeet shoot with the 250, I'd not try 700X. GHD
