Mrs njretcop (Carol) and I would like to thank all of the members of the board for your prayers, thoughts, well wishes, or expression of concern.
She underwent more than seven hours of surgery yesterday and her prognosis is very good for a complete recovery.
A team of doctors performed a bi-lateral mastectomy and re-constructive surgery. All of the cancer was apparently contained within the affected area and no spread was detected. (Note to the guys here so you don't have to ask your wife or girlfriend, a bi-lateral mastectomy with re-constuction means that both breasts were removed and flesh taken from tha area of the abdomen to re-build them.........and no, to date there is no procedure for taking flesh from a male body and adding it to an organ on our bodies, haha.)
Many of the people on this board, some of whom I have not yet met in person, are so like family to us and I would like to thank you all again. Your support at this time means much more than you know.....

Charlie, for your and JustC's benefit, see a cosmetic surgeon, there are indeed procedures envolving skin grafts that will turn those hand guns into long guns.
I've been wondering how things were going for you and your wife.
I'm wishing and hoping that she makes a full recovery very soon.
Will continue to keep you both in my thoughts.
You folks take care!
The NRA is on our side!
Sending our love and prayers to you both.... always...

Praise Jesus! He gets all the credit.
About that surgery to correct some male inadequacies.
It's been around since 1977 in Ne. I cared for the
very first case in our state. |Needless to say, I
was shooing people out of the room before he woke
up. Won't say why.
that is wonderful news. I am so glad she'll be ok.

Well, I'd give a good bit of credit to the surgeons...
...but I don't want to turn this thread into a religious debate.
Glad to hear the good news, Charlie; wishing your wife a fast recovery.
