History didn't repeat itself today!!!

28 years ago today on SUNDAY FEB 29, 1976, I shot the first groundhog of the season for that year! I was a student at VA TECH and shot him on state property from a state truck!!!(Had a permit signed by the governor to shoot the property) Could have shot one on the way to church this AM but Wendy said, "We'll be late!!!" Funny how dates stick in your mind!! Even funnier how it's significant "groundhog hunting" dates!!! GHD

that is weird how you remember that far back in time. Hell i cant even remember the day or the weekend that i shot a doe this past season , much less 28 years ago!

Chevy.. I remember my first Groundhog. Mothers Day 1973. Browning 22 SHORT autoloader. Shot it 17 times and was still clicking the trigger. It died about 3 foot short of its hole. Them things are tough.

select-fire, No that one wasn't a 25-06 kill! It was a Remington 700ADL(wood stocks back then) with a 6x18 Redfield and the load was a Sierra 53 grain Match bullet over 40 grains of Win 760! How's that for memory??? GHD PS: Eating pea-pods dulls memory!!![:D][:D][:D]
