I was on another message board(forgive me) and had a question concerning whether switching from a 12 guage to a 20 guage would help correct bad shooting habits from recoil due to my small frame. Anyways the last reply was by some guy calling hinself Top Flight. It was absolutely insulting. I have resolved my caliber problem but am so steamed that I had to post his reply for others to see. Take your 12 gauge shotgun and put whatever barrel on it you want to use. Then, put up a BIG target at 20 yards and take 3 careful shots at the target with the slugs you plan to use for deer hunting. That's it! You're done! Wherever the center of those 3 slugs hit is your POI for that gun and load. Now, just use Kentucky windage and elevation for your deer hunting. For example, if the POI is 2 feet high-right, just hold 2 feet low-left on a 20 yard shot. If that doesn't do the trick for you, then shotgunning for deer is not your game. Try something else such as badminton or croquet.Top Flight

    slugshooter:So what's your point? What part got you steamed? Sounds like advice an instructor would give his student. Oh, yeah- nothing wrong with "Kentucky Windage". U. S. Marines in WW2 were taught to use this when a quick shot meant "Kill or be killed"

    The guy obviously trained in hollywood. No self respecting hunter sights in at 20 yds and then depends on Kentucky Windage when the sights are off up to 2'. Surprised he didn't give you hold over points at 500 yards for the 1 ounce slug.

    For the record, I AM NOT TYRYING TO COMBAT 2 SEPARATE MESSAGE BOARD AGAINST EACH OTHER. Please no one think that. I just cannot believe that his original comments weren't enough. On the other board I expressed how upset I was and alot of people replied and a few including top flite himself were ruder yet calling me an * and other names. I never even used that king of language originally untill I read those comments then I got really steamed. Why do some people have to be that way? Cory

    This is way out of hand. I said some things on the other board I never should have. I appologize for all this stuff. The stuff I said on the pther board ,should anyone go there and read it, was not meant to be taken literally. I was just trying to get a serious rise out of him like he did me. To anyone who reads it, don't take it seriously even though it can be, it was a bunch of bs typed by me to express what he made me feel like. I appologized to him and maybe he can take it but probably will not. Just forget everything that has been said here or there as it was useless crap anyways. Cory
