My boy Will took the job. It happened to start on the same day as his college classes, so he is getting up early and working 10 hrs then off to school for another 4 hours. He told me today that he is getting real tired feeling. I told him if at the end of the 14hr day he came home and cooked dinner for eight, cleaned the kitchen then went out and mowed the lawn 'til dark, then came in for a cold drink and to check homework for another hour then get everyone bathed and off to bed before he could take his boots off and face that for the next twenty years without a break then he would be ready for PARENTHOOD!
He said prison life was a piece of cake compared to mine. I told him I'd just have to take his word for it.
Can't wait to tell him of the tradition of spending your first paycheck on taking the whole family to the steak house for dinner.[:D]
I am real proud of him for doing it right. Its hard to believe he is that same pale kid in a prison jumpsuit from just six months ago. Now hes got some color and walks with confidence, though a little weary this last week. Tommorrow I'll introduce him to Big Daddy's hightest columbian supremo. Two cups of grounds per pot of water preceded by two aspirin and four Tums. That'll get you going in the morning.

Big Daddy my heros have always been cowboys, they still are it seems
