    Hi Coonass. I used to live in LaSalle parish when I was stationed at England AFB. I still own property there. I also used to own several oil wells there but they have since just turned into holes in the ground!! I think my ex has an aunt in the Bunkey Sherriff's department. Tom

    Ive been there a few years ago with my army unit, spent two weeks at Fort Polk with no showers in august, not too sure if it was the area or just us that stunk.......??

    I have family about 60 miles north of Baton Rouge in Mississippi. Not close enough to count, but still pretty country. Most of them work in St. Francisville, LA though. Usually make it down every other year or so. Always seem to have a rat shootin' when us out of town cousins come to visit! LOL!

    I have a daughter-in-law from Baton Rouge does that count?
    We also have Mardi gras parade's, moon pie's, beads, and king cake's here and Doug Kershaw and Jimmy C. Newman are played on the a local station.

    I'm from Texas- have freinds in Louiy. Most humid hot place on earth.
    I like it, but would not live there. Fishings great, foods great, and people are laid back.
