Your drivers license...a privilage

I was pumping gas into the 'ole pickemup truck and saw a tag on the pump with a Texas state trouper that states- "if you don't pay for your gas, you could loose your drivers license".
I just heard on the radio that Texas is cracking down on boating and drinking by taking away your drivers license if you refuse to be tested for alcohol while operating a boat.
O.K., my statement is this; 1: Boating is not related to driving on the road and for one to loose his license to operate a vehicle on the road can be devistating-(can't go to work ect.) 2: It would be better (at least 1st warning) to set a fine of $2,000.00 or less if no injuries have occured. I have in the past boated rivers lakes and the gulf of mexico and have a strong hatred for those who get drunk and operate boats, so I'm all for getting them off the water, but not ruin their lifes on a first account.
Seems "they" are using a privilage as a lever to go overboard on punishments. (maybe I'm wrong)
Not to get off the subject, but, I also don't think it's legal for the authorities to take your vehicle if it was involved in a crime- what happened to "no taking of private property without due process"! Our system is screwed up!

The confiscation law used to be limited to property gained in ilicit activities. Like a drug dealer that buys the million dollar house with drug money.
Some states take your gun, your pickup, and ban ya from hunting, if you violate the hunting laws.
The Government can take your house if ya dont pay taxes.
Kinda Sucks dont it>
As far as the liscense goes, 1-is the guy going to be sober when he lands the boat and drives his car away ? 2-how else is the state going to keep track of his offenses ? 3-If he boats drunk the odds are that he drives drunk also.
Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.
Respect those who protect us now just as you would those who died for us in the past.
More laws-- we need more laws! Need more paper to print the MORE LAWS on! Fill the prisons! Take away all Americans have-Now we the government are in CONTROL! FREE? FREEDOM? Where is it? Must not let Americans be free! Must control them! But we the law makers will be exempt!
A little at a time- another 20 years- freedom will be abolished and "we" the government (not the people) will be KING!"
