I went and did some fishing on the CRIT lands yesterday and found out that there is also a hunting liscense available. Has anyone ever hunted in Parker, AZ and bagged anything? I sure saw alot of wildlife from as small as a spotted skunk and dove to a VERY LARGE doe deer. Any details will be appreciated. This was my first trip to this particular reservation and I must say that these folks don't live like on most other reservations I have visited. Very nice to say the least!

Will.....I used to travel from Yuma to work on the Colorado River Indian Reservation near Parker every year. I spent so much time there that I used to buy a yearly hunting permit for dove and quail. It's been more then 30 years but I can remember good hunting. The people that I contacted to ask if I could hunt on their property never once turned me down. In fact, one time while sitting under a Cottonwood waiting for doves to fly by, the Indian lady of the house brought me a big glass of ice tea. I don't quarantee that this will happen in this day and age, but it was nice once upon a time.
Never hunted deer because a lot of the tribe wanted to save the larger game for their own use. Or so I was told.
In those days you could buy a daily permit as well as a weekly permit also. Might be worth investigating. Contact the Tribal office in Parker for more details.
