The little Blacktail, I mean. The Food Saver got a workout and I had to dump a bunch of frozen veggies from last year. But, when you have fresh venison, there is no room for veggies. Now all I have to do is grind up some of the boned out meat and mix it with beef suet for hamburger. Maybe I'll mix it with sausage. Hmmm, I hate decisions. Sure doesn't look like much after you get the finished product in one pile. Can't say I really worked for this deer
though.

O.M.G....Jeffrey Daumer, all over again. But, I was wondering, beef suet or sausage? Tangy Classic Loaf? Backstrap de Classic? Classic and Wild Rice? Classic Jerky? Classic Casserole?
    Now I'm feeling ill...

Congratulations Muley, I've heard of grinding up some packages of smoked bacon and mix that with your ground deer. Our bow season opens up in about a week....time to start looking for Mr Big...

Rembrandt.......that is an excellent idea. I've never heard of doing that before. And, as much as I love bacon, I know it will be delicious. Thanks.....

    Good luck during bow season.

Darn. I thought maybe this was the last E. Williams thread.

Often the mind believes it is thinking, when it is only passing from one metaphor to the next.

I'm deep in enemy territory in Northern California. And, I just finished a few huge backstrap steaks. Well, actually, they were the size of silver dollars. But, they were good. I topped it off with a vintage can of Diet Coke. Hmmm, Hmmm..

BR....Now that Classic is home, he needs an antidote for the hospital food he has been getting. Venison steaks would do the job.
