UPDATE: FEBRUARY 26 2004
WARNING!

NJ ASSEMBLYWOMEN LORETTA WEINBERG IS AT IT AGAIN!

The same politician who introduced the .50 BAN which banned muzzleloaders, shotguns, expensive safari double rifles, and other handguns and rifles, has now introduced A1083 which AMONG OTHER THINGS---

TURNS WIDOWS INTO FELONS !

A1083 requires:

"Upon the death of an owner of a firearm, the administrator or executor of the estate shall turn over custody of the firearm to the chief law enforcement officer of the municipality in which the decedent resided"

In other words, while the widow is grieving, she will have to
GO TO THE POLICE STATION TO DROP OFF HER DECEASED HUSBAND'S GUN COLLECTION OR ELSE BECOME A FELON!

How nice of Assemblywomen Weinberg being so thoughtful at the widow's time of need!

My firearms are part of my "estate" and will be treated as such.
My kids can keep or sell them, their choice.
    What a buffoon.

How can people stand by and let these liberal left wing socialists dictate to them how they handle their personal property. It would have been a cold day in hell before I let my mom turn my dads collection over to any city, state or federal government official. I would rather be a crook than a sniveling coward and if it comes down to having to make that choice, well, I guess I,ll be as bad as I can be, never was one to do things half arsed...

Lots of beautiful collections of Lorcins, HiPoints, and Jennings could be turned in.

"Yes officer, this is my father's entire collection...I don't know much about guns, but they sure look pretty to me...my Dad really enjoyed his hobbies...you should see his collection of canned vegetable labels too..."

Firearm Surrender? If they tell the guns to come out with their hands up, they will once and for all learn that guns don't kill people, people kill people... [;)]

I agree I'd have mine buried with me before I'd turn 'em in to the state. At least that way the eventual American freedom fighters would know where to look for supplies. [:D]
