LAR Grizzly

Anybody ever had one of these LAR Grizzly slab-sides? I used to think I really wanted one, then got sidetracked. I see one now and then at a gun show and wonder if it wouldn't be interesting to own an oversized 1911 that shoots like a .44 magnum. I know, of course, that there has not been a lot of ammo choice in the caliber .45 Win Mag although I don't know what's available now. Any comments would be welcome.
