I want to start building a file of digital pictures of people using guns in a positive way, for defense. I would be happy if you would all help with contributions by link, e-mailed attachments, etc. When you know who the photographer is, please include the attribution.
I'm sure there are news photos of Korean shopkeepers repelling mobs during the LA riots, people guarding destroyed homes after hurricanes or quakes, jewelry or convenience store owners in the act of repelling robbers, that sort of thing.
Since a picture is worth a thousands words, I think "documentary-style" images would be a powerful pro gun tool. I may create a web page devoted to pro gun imagery, and since e-mail is now HTML capable, I may start including images in my e-mailed letters to newspapers and my congressmen to help make the point. NO POSED shots please. These have to be real acts of law-abiding civilian courage in progress to be of any use at all. If you're afraid a digital file you have may be too large to post or e-mail, contact me first.
Any help in developing a good-sized file of photos will be appreciated. I'll worry about the photo rights issues.
