There is some talk going around my office that President Bush knew there were going to be hijackings. Is there anyone who has the inside scoop on this? I hate to listen to slam the pres. on hear say, Is there any proof? I personally find it difficult to believe and think its a Democratic ploy to try to cast a shadow on GW and better their chances at the poles.
When Clinton left office they gave him a 21 gun salute. Its a damn shame they all missed....

What it was was a couple of reports that aliens were looking for flight school training and that the rumor was they were thinking of training for a hijacking.
Now, the possibility of hijacking meant something completely different before 9/11. It meant maybe someone would commandeer a plane to fly it and land it somewhere other than its intended destination.
The idea that Bush knew about 9/11, or any significant piece of the plan, and didn't follow up properly is utter and complete nonsense. The newschannels are covering this differently, and basically CNN last night admitted as much, even though they're still following the story today because the Democrats are still fanning the flames.
The Democrats have a problem right now. Bush is more popular than maybe any President, ever. We'd just about nominate him for emperor -- well not really, but you get the point. So anything that smells like a criticism gets thoroughly wrung out by the loyal opposition. Frankly, I think it makes them look unattractive at this time to do that, so I think it's backfiring on Daschle and his cronies bigtime.
