Went to the Ft. Wayne Gun Show today!

What the heck, a little report on my local gun show couldn't hurt right? Traffic was lighter than last show, but near the end of the season it usually is (next show isn't 'til October). I heard guns sold well, knives were in the crapper today. Maybe tomorrow will be different. I actually did more trading than buying today, getting rid of a Ranger holster I didn't like and getting a Mag light with accessories for it. I then exchanged a Pearce +1 finger groove Glock baseplate for a Scherer +1 finger groove Glock baseplate -- for the simple reason that the Scherer is a little bigger and fits my hand better than the Pearce. Most people probably prefer the Pearce, so it was an easy trade to make. There was the usual nice selection but I'm not in the market for anything right now other than some leather and accessories. I may go back tomorrow. I left some flyers on the table identifying myself as an eBay auction facilitator, which eBay actually encourages. I hope nobody took it the wrong way. I'm certainly not competing with the show dealers, in fact they're welcome to call me too; only trying to help those whose stuff doesn't sell some other way, and make a little side business out of helping the computer illiterate get onto the national marketplace. I'll let you know how it goes. I had a guy call me last week who got my name off eBay as an auction transaction helper -- he wants to sell an RV. A few percent of that sale would be a nice piece of change. No big deal -- I run over, shoot a few digital pics, the auction goes up the same day. I told him to call me next week. Anyway, sorry I got off the gun show. I really feel good walking those aisles. It feels like -- freedom!

offerer......any 1903 Springfields at the show? Price range? Also what were they asking for GI M1A mags. I had heard Indiana was pretty good for military stuff. Beach

    Beach --
I had thought of going back to the show today and I would've been happy to check that out for you, butI'm not going to make it over there - they wrap up a 4pm and guys usually start tearing their stuff down early. Yesterday I noticed quite a number of rifles but did not check them closely enough to answer. Sorry.

Next show is not until October. For some reason beyond me, they always take the summer season off. Heck, I'd go in the summer -- good outdoor shooting weather around here.
