OpSD -- The anti-rights crowd will no likely include this report in their stats on "children" injured by "gun violence" -- we say give the homeowner a Good Citizen Award.

Homeowner Shoots Teen Invader

A homeowner shot a teen in the head after he, and several others, tried to break into the house.

A homeowner in Northwest Atlanta shot a teen-aged burglary suspect early Monday morning.

Police say the teen was one of several suspects who broke into the rear of the house on Bolfair Drive about 5 a.m.

He suffered a gunshot wound to the head and is listed in critical condition at Grady Memorial Hospital.

Detective J.K. Brown told 11Alive News, "We're still investigating right now. It's way to early to talk about whether it was a self-defense shooting or not."

Police say the teen was part of a robbing crew and had led them on a foot chase just last week.

Statistics say that if you are mugged on the street by an armed robber, the 13 year old is more likely to shoot you for no reason than an older kid.

One of the hard lessons of being a legal CCW holder is that you may have to shoot someone that shouldn't be a sociopath. Nevertheless, defense is dictated by the heinousness of an assault, not the traits of the perpetrator, as unexpected as those may be.
