I am taking a page out of Josey's book. While perusing the net, there is a NEW...UNPUBLISHED...study by the ATF...exclusively for TIME.com. This is for the year 2000. The list follows:
. Smith and Wesson .38 revolver
2. Ruger 9 mm semiautomatic
3. Lorcin Engineering .380 semiautomatic
4. Raven Arms .25 semiautomatic
5. Mossberg 12 gauge shotgun
6. Smith and Wesson 9mm semiautomatic
7. Smith and Wesson .357 revolver
8. Bryco Arms 9mm semiautomatic
9. Bryco Arms .380 semiautomatic
10. Davis Industries .380 semiautomatic
The list is derived from the center's investigations of 88,570 guns recovered from crime scenes in 46 cities in 2000, is being analyzed for ATF's youth gun crime interdiction initiative, which helps local police forces understand and counter gun trafficking to youth in their jurisdictions
Funny thing...I dont notice any MilSurp arms on the list. I dont notice any excessive round magazines or bayonet lugs. They dont make any high capacity magazines for Lorcin, Bryco, or Davis firearms. Looks to me that..that which is cheapest is also most easily affordable for criminals. Course Time is not gonna cover those questions will they???

My collection is pretty small, especially by the standards of some on this forum, but I own 2 on the list. I wonder what the record is for a private collection owned by people on this forum? Anyone own all 10? Dealer's stock doesn't count. If we go by % of the total collection that is on the list, I think I would win.

When Clinton left office they gave him a 21 gun salute. Its a damn shame they all missed....
