Romanian PAR-1 "Pump" AK?

Anyone have any experience with this Frankenstien? It is supposed to be a pump-action version of the Romanian SAR-1 AK-47!? I just heard of these things tonight. Sounds like a bad gimmick to me.

    I think they just made them so they'd be legal in those really funky gunlaw states like kalifornia. Other than that I really don't see a market for them. I remeber seeing a pump action AR type rifle about a year ago, the same market...

    If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.

    In general, the only reason to create a pump version of a semi-auto is so that one will have a weapon for shooting a variety of special purpose rounds which would not reliably cycle the action of a semi-auto. But the Kalifornia market sounds more plausible an explanation to me in this case.
