This was sent to me. I don't know yet if it works, but it seems worth trying.

Here is a good thing for the summer, for those who like to sit & enjoy the out of doors, but don't like those pesky mosquitoes. It was given at a gardening forum:

Put some water in a white dinner plate and add just a couple of drops of Lemon Fresh Joy dishwashing soap. Set the dish on a porch or patio. Not sure what attracts them, the lemon smell, the white color, or what, but mosquitoes flock to it, and drop dead, or fall into the water, or on the floor within about 10 ft. Works just super! Enjoy the mosquito free summer!!!!

    Got to try this. I was working outside Saturday afternoon. It
    was cloudy and threatening rain. I had sprayed good with repellent,
    but it didn't last long. When I finally noticed there was about
    100 of the pesky critters swarming around me. I quit and went inside.


    Don't send flowers when I die. Send money now, I can buy more ammo.

    Also, that little device called ThermaCELL REALLY works!! I've tried it in the woods, on the boat, on the back porch, etc. No kidding.

    I will try this after work. I love to go out side but I also hate it because I always get bit. I live in a wooded wet area and they are always around. Will let you know how everything works out.

    If you will blame gun makers for every shooting then blame car maker for every car accident.

    We've got some West Nile virus in this area right now. They want us to report dead crows or blue jays. I found a dead sparrow on my patio, so I called to ask about it, but a helpful fellow explained to me that there are "old world" birds and "new world" birds, and the ones they're interested in are new world (or predatory?) birds. A sparrow is apparently an old world bird. Weird.
