Good to go, or did I just waste $100? Looks like the older model, but appears to be in great shape.

I have recently bought a benelli nova. I like it very much. I had a 870, and sold it to get a auto 12 guage. I never looked at the prices of these autos, my stupidity. I couldn't beleive the prices of them. So I researched, and bought the nova. Straight out of the box, I think its much better than the 870. My only gripe is the lack of accesories available for the nova. I have a Benelli catalog, and in the main Nova section it states they have a 2 or 4 round extension for it. In the parts section, it only lists a 2 round. I emailed Benelli, and they say only a 2 round. Does anyone know of a larger mag extension for the nova by aftermarket? I have also been looking for a different buttpad for it. The Nova comes with a solid rubber buttpad. Their catalog list different pads for the 20 gauge Nova, but not the 12. I also see extended chokes for the nova. What are the advantages of these? I use the gun for trap, and started with the IC choke. I switched to the Modified, and have shot much better with it. My catalog also states that Tom Knapp shot 8 clays by himself before they hit the ground with a Nova. The stock nova is 4+1, with the extension it would be 6+1. In my book that's 7, not 8.

Still in the market for a good defense 12 gauge. Picked up a Benelli Nova at gander mountian today and was surprised by the price tag. Only about 400. Anybody got any experience. Thinking about buying one this week if I dont get any significant negative feedback.

I'm thinking along the same lines -- trading in my 870 for something in a semi. I do have the tube extender on my 870, and on an 18" barrel gun the tube extender is slightly longer than the barrel. I wonder if a plus 4 would fit on your Benelli? In any case, I'll keep an eye open. It would be good to know a source for such an item, as I like Benellis too.
