The colors DON'T MATCH!!!

I have been trying to get a setup for my silver Leupold scope so all the colors match. I had to buy a Nikon mount because Leupold didn't make silver for my gun. Then I bought Leupold rings because I figured they would match exactly with my scope. Needless to say, the Nikon mount matches perfect with the scope but the rings are considerably darker than everything else. Does all the Leupold scopes and rings not match in silver????

Probably looks nicer than any of my guns! Maybe leupold is into two-tone!?!

I was tempted to say a lispy, "Oh, stop it, you silly savage."

But then I decided to take you seriously and point out that there's nothing wrong with a slight duotone. Chances are the parts come from different shop sources and they are not exactly using a Pantone color key on their metal finishing -- yet. Trust me, there are metal finishers out there that are matching colors precisely, but most finishers are not yet set up for that degree of color precision, or their processes aren't capable of it.
