    Buy the Bushmaster. Buy the Bushmaster. What does WOOOOOOOOOT mean? Is that the sound the dog makes when he is chewing on a Glock?

    Yes, I know all about the "Glock KBs". Won't apply to me (HOPEFULLY!), as I don't plan on shooting reloads, and plan to have proper maintenance!

    WOOOOOOOOOOOOOT=Way Happy!

    Anybody that says anything sucks altogether is generally a dumba**, particularly something of proven quality that is used by over half of law enforcement in this country. I'm getting a little tired of eager references to a site that is obviously based on people abusing the gun one way or another. Look out! an un-fully-supported chamber! Glocks when properly used and not altered from factory specs or factory-made ammo are generally ~100% reliable out of the box and close to indestructible, and are not prone to the idiot problems of other supposedly quality guns like magazine feed lips that let rounds pop out, screws that get loose, frequent jams or stovepipes, parts that break off, safeties that aren't positive, feedramps that don't feed well, trigger pulls that are too heavy. Good grief. Give it a rest. I could create a website of exploded guns of any make and model and what would it prove? That I shot a misfired reload, got the bullet stuck in the barrel, then fired a full load on top of it, maybe. Or that I insisted on shooting uncased lead cheap ammo through a Glock without cleaning the barrel properly.

    I don't hear anybody talking about Berettas with broken slide assemblies anymore, but the all the early guns in question are still in circulation, except those that broke. Let's talk about why ARs need a forward assist and Kalashnikovs shoot all day long dirty.

    I've owned Glocks 17, 19, 21, 23, 30, 26, and 27 and never had a problem. I used to break them in by shooting 200 rounds in a single session without a hiccup. Then I realized there was no real need because they worked every time out of the box. I have also found they don't like bad reloads, but that's the reloaders fault for going out of tolerance. Next time you see a screwed up Glock, ask the shooter how he screwed it up -- don't assume it was the gun's fault. He may not admit it, but the shooter probably had his head where the sun don't shine and ruined a perfectly good gun. Maybe he needs an idiot-proof gun, like some other brands I could mention....

    I have no experience with any Glocks. That being said, why would anyone want a gun that cannot reliably shoot reloads? Or is that also a myth?

    This quote was from the sheriff while at a ccw class to another officer doing the training. "You've got cute kids but that is one damn ugly gun", of course he was referring to his Glock.

    from my understanding, any glock can shoot reloads, they just can't shoot lead due to the rifling of the barrel. It is also my understanding that a lot of manufacturers say that you shouldn't shoot reloads in an effort to cover their own a$$es.

    I've shot several thousand rounds of FMJ 9mm reloads through my Glock 17 with nary a problem at all. I also prefer not to shoot unjacketed lead rounds through any of my firearms because I hate trying to get all the lead buildup out of the rifling.

    As you all know by now, Mrs. Mudge's carry gun is a Glock 30. We both have fired probably 2-3,000 rounds through it. NOT A HICCUP!! Never used reloads in it so I can't say how it would handle 'em.

    Mudge the believer

    ps. I thought EVERYBODY knew what WOOOOOOOOT meant.

    I can't come to work today. The voices said, STAY HOME AND CLEAN THE GUNS!

    Glocks shoot well-made jacketed reloads all day long too.

    A badly made reload is one in which the case was fattened a bit when the bullet was pressed down into it. A fat case won't fully chamber in a glock (and probably a lot of other autos). If you want to shoot reloads in any gun, my recommendation is jacketed, because lead in the air isn't good for you, especially indoors. But plain lead bullets in Glock barrels are not a good idea, so people who insist on reloading with plain cowboy lead should pick a gun with regular rifling. I know people who replace their Glocks' barrels with aftermarkets just so they can shoot lead reloads. I can't speak to the quality of those guns, as they are no longer 100% Glocks.
