Any Buick GM mechanics on here?

Got a question about a 99 Century. The low tire light came on when my wife got a nail in her tire. I fixed the flat, but the low tire idiot light is still lit. Anyone know how to reset it? I don't have an owners manual for the car.
Thanks for any help!

You have to reset the system. I can't remember the exact way to do it offhand. You scroll through the list untill the tire press is highlighted. Then you have to hold one of the buttons down for 5 seconds, I think.

Unhook the negative battery terminal, wait 10 minutes. hook it back up and run the car for a few minutes, this resets the computer and by running it for a few minutes it will reprogram the critical components and it will be fine, or you can take it to a GM tech and pay 45P/H to have him do the same thing.

Wait, y'all are kidding about cars -- especially US cars -- having "low tire" lights?

No, I guess not, since there are fixes for this fell'as problem. Hmmm. When did this nonsense start?

I've got a GM. There's a button under the dash to the right of the steering wheel. Hold it down for about 3 seconds to re-set the light. This is very handy if you have a tire with a slow leak, that needs air once every couple of weeks, because it's a pain to get under the hood and unhook the battery that often. Besides, that's what GM put the button there for. It memorizes the proper pressures and alerts you when one goes out of tolerance.
