I have a friend that does alot of online auctions. A couple months ago she dropped her camera and sent it out to be fixed. Because she needed the camera she also bought a new one. The old one came back from repair and I purchased it from her. Sony mavica MVC-FD51. I gave her $175.00 for the camera 2 batteries and a battery charger. Did I get a deal or could I have done better. They had to put a new door on it where the batteries go. the thing looks like new and works great. She also said she'd give my money back if anything went wrong in the next 30 days.

It makes the camera bulkier than the ones that use the stick, but it is very handy to transfer images.
By the way, if you are not happy with your purchase, I will give you your money back for it.

SMILE...MAKE EM WONDER WHAT YOUR UP TO
I've used a Mavica quite a bit and I find them easy to use, accurate, able to shoot super close-ups of tiny items (change to Macro mode by pressing theMacro button -- a little flower comes up on your digital screen to show you are in close-up mode) and with plenty of quality for online work. They also work very well in room light, though you can get better, brighter color saturation by shining an extra lamp on the subject when you shoot your items.
As they said, you can use standard resolution for online picture taking, which is probably 640x480, plenty of pixels for a computer screen shot. In fact, you can reduce them some if you want, in your photo software, before saving them as .jpg for extra reduction in file size. Your hi-res setting is, I believe about a Megapixel, which amounts to 1024 x somethingorother pixels.
Since the camera will number the photos the same each time you fill the media, from 1 to 40 or whatever, you'll want to transfer your pictures to your PC in separate folders (set 1, set 2, or something) to keep track of each group. You will probably rename at least some of your pictures so they are easier to keep track of as you work with them.
