Camera mount for in a tree.

Any suggestions for a camera mount to hold a VHS camera up in a tree during archery season? It's kinda hard to hold the camera while at full draw. I want a moveable mount so I can adjust the camera as needed. It can either mount to the stand or directly to the tree. Also my camera has a plug for a remote switch, where can I get one for a panasonic?

You can get a cheap "mono-pod" at K-Mart's camera section which you can then strap to the tree trunk or a large branch with anything from a belt to duct tape. Or, you could even fold the legs together on a regular tripod and do about the same thing. But I like the monopod idea -- cheap, and light.
