Where does this thing go in?

Is it supposed to fit on the back of the recoil spring guide?

What holds it in place?

I must be lost they said "just drops right in thar".

thanks

How's that going to keep the recoil guide from battering the Frame?

You are right it seems to fit well on there just don't understand how its gonna do any good.

How many should I use 1 or 2?

    thanks for your help.

It goes just inside the end of the guide rod nearest the chamber and the open end will straddle the barrel. Then let the spring go up against the shock buffer. It just helps absorb recoil.

I have a Star PD, and it has a specially designed shock buff that wears out every 200 rounds and must be replaced, and they say not to shoot the gun without it. So obviously, these can reduce wear. Only use one at a time, not two.
