    I've never own a 96, but shot 'em a lot as a buddy owns several.In my opinion, the only allureto the Beretta 92F is the fact that you can have 19 rounds in the weapon at any given time. Why get a Beretta 96 in .40 and carry less rounds? That's just my humble opinion, as Beretta's are fine firearms. They're just not my style. I think you'd be better off with a Glock 23. Be advised, that you can buy your 96 and use the Beretta 92F's 9mm magazines. It's a cheap way to get high-caps for your Beretta 96. I don't know that I'd trust my life to that Mag/Firearm combo, but it'd be fun at the range.

    got the 9 mm glock and the 45.glock. the only other Beretta i own is the Tomcat.
