Good news is often too hard to come by, and this one is good news!
Hate to give him much credit, but, Geraldo said it well when he compared the rescue effort to a moon shot in its complexity.
Good work people!

What great news. Those guys must have cast iron ba**s. I especially liked the request, by some, for a beer! I'm taking bets that we will see this as a TV movie.

I assumed they would all be dead when, and if, they finally got down there. Pretty unusual. A lot of happy families won't be going to funerals in coal country this time. I suppose Russell Crowe or Mel Gibson will play the lead rescuer in the movie and cheapen the whole rescue.

I heard somebody say that they were up to their NOSES in water! And, I guess they all wrote down wills and a few last words and put them in a lunchbox, just incase. Damn, I can't imagine how those guys must have felt.

I was wondering how the last man felt when #8 went up in the cage and he was down there 240 feet all by himself. The outlook was more than grim by last night, and I could even see the rescue crew shaking their heads in disbelief. I hear the oxygen would only have held out a few more hours. They were already coughing to breathe. Amazing.

Most definately a miracle, I can't say enough about the rescue effort that took place along with the guts those miners had to stick it out!! This one hit a little too close to home...only about 60 miles east of where I am.

Can you imagine the happy reunions in the Somerset, PA area. Yes, it is an answer to prayer that they all made it out safely.

It is wonderful that God saved the Somerset miners.
I just wanted to let everybody know that although mining is very dangerous, they are highly trained for these very types of emergencies.
