AK-47--Shepards hook--bye,bye--Update

I ordered a retainer made for the AK-47 which does away with the shepards hook. Thanks to some experts on this forum,I would call out their names but afraid I may leave someone out,it was a easy task.I also installed a buffer which is suppose keep the recoil spring guide from metal to metal contact and help with muzzle jump. Hopefully tomorrow will get to see if this buffer does work.

Has anyone else tried any these gadgets?

    I shot about 250 rounds thru it today and everything worked fine. I do believe the buffer helped with muzzle jump and it sounds a little less violent when action operates. I have heard the AK-47 triggers could use some work but mine seems to work fine,but this may be my next project,got to stay busy doing something.
