Doo-How 4Wheeler ... I don't ride much anymore. It hurts my bones too much. Have an '86 Yammie YFM200 that I bought new in (drum roll) 1986. It has been all over N America on hunting trips. Ontario and Quebec for bear, Wyoming for Mulies and Prongers, Arizona for Javelina. Its got about a million hrs on it and is beat to snot but in 16 yrs I have replaced the battry 3 times, Carb (after desert trip) and 4 tires. Runs like new, starts immediately in any weather. Just put all new brkaes, cables, front end bushings and signed it over top my son. If I was riding and had a new one it would be a Wolverine ... Fur Shur. Been a Yammie guy furever and never get into the Honda sucks thing. They are all well made and wonderful machines. I paid $1800 for mine and is the best $1800 I ever spent. Honda 450ES is a fine machine !

I saw that you live near the Virginia-North Carolina line. I also live near the Virginia-North Carolina line on the N.C. side. Close to hwy 16. Am I in your neck of the woods? I'm going to try to get in a little hunting time tomorrow, despite the high wind warning and snow advisory. Are you going hunting tomorrow?

I agree,I have never seen a 4 wheeler I did not like.I am lazy and love the electric shift on my honda. It has a big wheel kit with aluminum wheels, winch, horn, spotlight and I am on my third set of tires. It has 4300 miles on it,bought new in 1999.You had better keep your yammie running, mine cost 5600 dollars I cannot believe I confessed to that.
hdwrench---Is your brakes sealed drum or disk?Mine has sealed drum brakes and if seals get bad then water and dirt can enter brakes, this has not happened to me yet.

I bought a used 300 Honda Rancher a little over a year ago. I use it here on the place to ride the fence line, check on cattle, go get the mail (1/2 mile away), and generally what one would use a horse for. But, unlike a horse, it doesn't get sick, doesn't need putting up before a storm, doesn't kick me or eat the garden plants. When I bought it I thought I would ride it ever now and then just for pleasure but have yet went out riding for the sake of riding. All the use has been business. It is the second most important tool on my place, right behind my tractor. Now that I have it, I couldn't live without one.

Just got the Hoda 650 Rincon. They told me it was the first sold in the US. I don't care if it was are not. It's mine. Now if I miss a coyote, I can run over him.

I like to go slow and haul stuff, so I think my Pop-in-Law's John Deere Trail Gator is the coolest machine. I think it may do 20 mph maxed, but it can pull a big log out of the swamp. Actually, though, my favorite ATV is my 1939 Allis-Chalmers B. I think she may do 12 mph on pavement if she's tuned up jest right!!

varmit hunter---keep me posted on your machine,I read about it but have not seen one yet.Do you know how it matchs up against the grizzly 660 and kaw. 650 as far as power?

It has far more power than this old man needs. I bought it mainly for the ride. This is my sixth Honda. I have never seen a Honda with this good a ride, Are this much raw power. I thougt I was going to loose my grip on the bars when it shifted into second gear.

I have a 450, And there is no way to compare them. The 650 only weighs five pound more than the 450.

What did you read about it?.

I read about it on the Honda.com web site under motorcycles.I like the rear end being independent which allows for traveling thru rough terrain. It did not say whether it comes in and out of 4-wheel drive.I like the fact that it can shift in auto like a car or you can shift thru the gears.
